Capabilities & Clients

Milsearch specialises in the following services:

Techniques

Milsearch's expertise includes the full range of UXO hazard reduction operations, including historical research into the previous use of the land, detailed analytical or sampling surveys to determine the extent of UXO contamination and finally, full-scale certified remediation. All Milsearch tasks are recorded through concise and accurate final reports tailored as necessary, to suit particular requirements of the client.

To achieve effective and efficient completion of its tasks, Milsearch utilises a full range of up-to-date detection and location instruments, ranging from high quality discriminating metal detectors for 'shallow-search' operations, through to analogue magnetometers, such as the Forster Type 4.021 and sophisticated digital imaging magnetometer systems for 'deep search' operations. Digital electromagnetics and ground penetrating radar (GPR) are also available for specific sub-surface search tasks.

Milsearch also utilizes differential and Real Time Kinetic (RTK) Global Positioning Systems to achieve accurate search recording and to ensure site data is readily integrated with the Client’s Geographical Information Systems.

Research, Design & Development

Milsearch has a long history of working with Geophysical Technology Limited at the University of New England, a world leader in research into sub-surface UXO detection techniques involving digital magnetics, electromagnetics and ground penetrating radar, and manufacturers of the TM-4/TM-4e digital imaging ordnance detection system - the most advanced of its type in the world. Milsearch also conducts product and concept development with Minelabs Electronics Pty Ltd, makers of the renowned F1A4 series of advanced digital metal detectors, employed world-wide to find minimum metal plastic mines.
