Home-based in Sydney, Paul is a highly capable individual with a proven track record in the planning and conduct of a wide range of operations; including Counter Landmine Warfare, High Risk Search, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD), Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defence (CBRND) and is also a qualified Workplace Assessor and Trainer.

Paul has extensive experience in the construction, delivery, validation and assessment of training programs across all the above operations both in Australia and overseas.

Paul completed 20 years service in the Australian Defence Force, rising to the position of EOD Trade Manager before joining Milsearch in January 2009.

Through the Defence Marrangaroo Remediation Project, Paul made a major contribution to Milsearch’s corporate understanding of chemical warfare remediation strategies and safe working procedures. The Marrangaroo project involved the remediation of numerous large scale ammunition disposal burials at a former RAAF Ammunition Depot site near Lithgow NSW. This location operated throughout WW 2 as the Air Force’s wholesale depot for Chemical Weapons including aerial bombs charged with phosgene and mustard gas. The remediation process involved excavation, inspection, categorization, certification as Free from Explosives and re-cycling of explosive ordnance wastes – all conducted within a controlled Old Chemical Weapons environment. This meant close interaction with the Local Emergency Services Organization, various specialist elements of the Defence Department and the local community.

Paul is currently assisting Milsearch in the Columboola Old Chemical Weapons Destruction Project in South Western Queensland. When not involved in field CW projects, Paul acts as Milsearch’s NSW Operations Manager.
