
Operations Manager Milsearch - BPKP Ltd, Vientiane LAO PDR
Jonathon completed 13 years service in the Royal Australian Corps of Engineers (Army) resigning as a SNCO EOD technician in 2004. Throughout his career Jonathon work primarily as a Combat Engineer conducting, supervising, and planning Mine clearance techniques utilized in both combat and humanitarian scenarios. Included in his experience is a 3 year tour at the Army’s School of Military Engineering, instructing in EOD and Mine clearance. He has extensive training and experience in both surface and sub-surface UXO and Mine clearance techniques and is qualified and experienced in Chemical, Biological, and Radiological incident response techniques. He has seen active duty in EOD roles in East Timor and Iraq.
Jonathon joined Milsearch in October 2004 and has since been involved in numerous projects in Australia and overseas. In the Lao PDR he has been involved with the Sepon Gold and Copper Project, the Nam Theun 2 Hydropower Project, JPower Transmission Lines, Phu Bia Mining and the Northern Power Transmission Project.
As Operations Manager for Milsearch-BPKP since March 2006, Jonathon is responsible for the management of ex-patriat technical personnel, development and implementation of SOP’s for specific projects, the conduct of pre-contract assessments and the coordination and control of assigned UXO clearance and de-mining projects in Lao PDR.
